  • Will my yield increase with the fibersect?
There are many benefits provided by the fibersect one being an increased yield. Numerous customers have reported increasing their yield from 94% when processing manually to 99% and even 100% when using the fibersect.
  • What is your warranty?
Our warranty is one year from the date of purchase which includes the saw with an unlimited number of cuts during that year.
  • Will fibersect improve my productivity and save me money?
Yes, both smaller cable assembly houses as well as large, multinational companies have conducted extensive ROI analyses and product evaluations with favorable results. They report a significant cost savings in consumables, employee training, and throughput with fibersect use.
  • How reliable is the fibersect?
Extremely reliable. When cutting MT, LC and SC ferrules we expect our new fibersect.multi.2 and fibersect.single to exceed well over 1,000,000 cuts before having to change the saw. To achieve this high number of cuts, care must be taken not to cut the ferrule. Other components within the fibersect have been tested successfully to several million cycles, some well beyond ten million cycles.
  • What is the process to make a custom adapter?
We ask that you provide us technical drawings along with six epoxied sample connectors for validation purposes. Lead time is typically 6-8 weeks.
  • Which fibersect is best for my application?
The fibersect.multi.2 should be used to cut 4-72 fiber MT ferrules and SMA connectors with >300 micron diameter fibers. The fibersect.single should be used to cut single fibers such as the LC and SC ferrules and connectors along with MDC and other similar duplex connectors. SMA connectors with <300 micron diameter fibers should use the fibersect.single.
  • How long can I expect the saw to last?
You can expect more than 700,000 cuts when cutting MT ferrules and more than 600,000 cuts when cutting single fibers such as the LC and SC ferrules or connectors.
